About Gem Match
Two adjacent gems are exchanged to form a line of three or more, which clears and lets the gems above fall into the gap. Each level sets a score target and a fixed number of moves, which makes this a puzzle of efficiency rather than reaction: a swap that clears only three is usually worse than one that leaves a cascade behind it. Lines of four and five are worth considerably more, and any moves left unspent when the target is reached convert to points. Reading one move ahead is the difference between scraping a level and clearing it comfortably.
How to Play
Swap two neighbouring gems by tapping each in turn, or by dragging one onto the other. A line of three or more identical gems is removed. Reach the target score before the move allowance runs out.
💡 Tips & Strategy
Make your matches at the bottom of the board. Clearing low causes everything above to fall, which frequently cascades into further matches you did not have to find — while a match at the top changes almost nothing beneath it.
Look for moves that set up the next move rather than the biggest immediate clear. A four or five gem line is worth more than two threes, and the board usually offers one if you scan instead of taking the first match you see.
When a level has an objective, play towards it rather than towards score. Clearing the colour or the tile you actually need beats a larger match elsewhere every time.
If you cannot find a move, scan by colour rather than by position. Picking one colour and following it across the board finds matches much faster than reading the grid row by row.
