About Trivia Quiz
Ten questions to a round, taken from nine fields: history and geography, science and the natural world, film, music, sport, cookery and books. Fifteen seconds are allowed per question. Scoring favours a prompt answer and raises the multiplier for consecutive correct ones, so the game measures speed of recall as much as breadth of knowledge. The bank does not repeat a question until the whole of it has been seen, which makes repeated rounds worth playing. Most people find one subject that quietly ruins their average.
How to Play
Read the question and select an answer, by tapping it or using the A to D keys. Fifteen seconds are allowed, and a quicker answer scores more. Three correct answers in succession begin a streak bonus.
💡 Tips & Strategy
Read the whole question before the answers. Options are written to be plausible, and a half-read question makes the wrong one look right — particularly where the question contains a qualifier like earliest, largest or only.
Eliminate rather than select when you are unsure. Two options can usually be ruled out on general knowledge alone, which turns a guess worth twenty-five percent into one worth fifty, and that difference compounds across a round.
Trust your first instinct on recall questions. Where the answer is something you either know or do not, second-guessing tends to replace a correct memory with a plausible-sounding invention. Reserve your deliberation for questions that need reasoning rather than recall.
Watch for absolutes. Options containing always, never or every are more often wrong than right, because a single exception falsifies them — whereas hedged options survive scrutiny more easily.
