About Block Fit
Three shapes are offered at a time and placed anywhere they will fit on a ten-by-ten grid; any row or column filled from end to end is then removed. Nothing falls and no clock runs, so the whole of the difficulty is spatial planning. Every piece set down without a purpose leaves a hole that a later shape cannot enter, and the game ends the moment none of the three will fit. Players who last longest keep the middle of the board open, work from the edges inwards and always leave room for the awkward five-cell pieces.
How to Play
Place all three shapes on the grid, anywhere they will fit. A row or column filled completely is cleared; several cleared at once are worth more. All three shapes must be placed before a new set arrives.
💡 Tips & Strategy
Look at all the available pieces before placing any of them. Each round hands you a set, and the order you place them decides whether the last one fits at all — committing to the easy piece first is the usual way a board dies.
Keep the middle clear and build against the edges. Large pieces need open space, and space fragmented into single cells is worthless however much of it you have.
Clear lines to open room, not for the points. A cleared row or column is your only way of reclaiming space, so time clears for when the board is tightening rather than taking them as soon as they appear.
Watch for the shapes that need a specific hole. Long straights and the square need contiguous space of an exact size, so always keep one region that could take the most demanding piece in the set.
